John McCain was the equivalent of an IED in this bailout bill. Wrong move after wrong move. It is sure great to see the GOP just fall apart. Did people really think that republicans were going to vote $700 billion in wingtip welfare with 30 some odd days to go before an election? Even if you were a GOPer in a R+10 district and no real challenger this was the recipe to lose 100 seats in the house, just like that.
