So, Senator McCain said he was suspending his campaign during this ECONOMIC CRISIS!!!! (ahhhh run around, be scared, be distracted from my "cratering" poll numbers)
But I guess suspending a campaign does not include;
1. Going on CBS
2. Sending spokesperson Nicole Wallace on Morning Joe
(I'll just go ahead and update this throughout the day! please feel free to play along in the thread. Let's see what other things are not actually considered campaigning during a suspended campaign)
Update 1:
The McCain campaign plans to suspend all advertising and fundraising, in addition to campaign activities. OOOPS Except...NPR's Peter Overby points out that McCain does not need to do any fundraising, since he took $84 million in public financing. The McCain campaign is also receiving money from the Republican National Committee, but the RNC has not yet said whether it will also stop raising money.
Update 2:
(AP) - Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee said Sen. John McCain made a "huge mistake" by even discussing canceling the presidential debate with Sen. Barack Obama.
