I am a "why?" kind of person. I want to get behind the reasons for things, understand them. I try to see the other side. I try to understand what makes people do what the do. But you know what? Sometimes, as I have been told by Mr. Gator, sometimes there is no reason.
The first house I lived in in Tokyo was in a nice, kind of upscale neighborhood. regular folks, very residential. On the way to the train station, there was this house. It looked almost normal on the outside, but there were some tell tale signs that all was not right within. One of the main things was a certain second story window, that was ALWAYS wide open. No screen, no glass no nothing, in snow, rain, freezing weather-- wide open to the world, even in typhoon season. For the longest time I was fascinated and I wanted to know WHY? Why did they keep it open, what was the point? We started to notice other things, kind of a crazy mix of people coming in and out. And one particular older guy who would just stand outside the front stoop and smile and gaze off into the middle distance. Mr. Gator started to say, after each time I asked Why, "There's no reason, they are just crazy." Point being, if something is coming from deep inside the crazy house, there is no real way to understand the thinking behind it.
Justices will decide whether to consider the caseThe crazy house for sure. These people are just nuts. They are a crazy caucus of Team Sarah Shills, PUMAs, Racists, and ne'er do wells.

The U.S. Supreme Court will consider Friday whether to take up a lawsuit challenging President-elect Barack Obama's U.S. citizenship, a continuation of a New Jersey case embraced by some opponents of Obama's election.
The meeting of justices will coincide with a vigil by the filer's supporters in Washington on the steps of the nation's highest court.
The suit originally sought to stay the election, and was filed on behalf of Leo Donofrio against New Jersey Secretary of State Nina Mitchell Wells.
Legal experts say the appeal has little chance of succeeding, despite appearing on the court's schedule. Legal records show it is only the tip of an iceberg of nationwide efforts seeking to derail Obama's election over accusations that he either wasn't born a U.S. citizen or that he later renounced his citizenship in Indonesia.
The Obama campaign has maintained that he was born in Hawaii, has an authentic birth certificate, and is a "natural-born" U.S. citizen. Hawaiian officials agree.
This crap has been going on for months, so let's hope the court puts an end to this. I mean seriously. We have better things to do, and certainly there are more important issues at hand for the court to be deliberating. Shut the window dammit, it is cold out and the rain is coming.
