The first few days have been phenomenal already!
Even the most cynical of us must have been doing a little happy dance inside as our new President signs orders that will close Guantanamo, help restore the Rule of Law and reaffirm that torture does not work and is morally corrupt.
It is a new day.
I hope you will take one of the many chances available to thank President Obama for signing the close gitmo order. True Majority and the ACLU have set up email campaigns to send our message of support.
Remember people, Sticks and Carrots. Don't forget the carrots. We have to be willing to yell our support from the hilltops as well as shouting our righteous demands in the corridors of power.
