Today as I wake up in the early hours in DC- I am still overwhelmed by the sights and sounds of yesterday. I am hoping to write more today as I

1. go to my DNC meeting- Woot!
and
2. start the long journey back to Tokyo.

But first things first. In the early cold dawn hours I made my first of many trips to Whitehouse.gov You should check it out.

It is nice to go to the site that should be a conversation between a people and their president and not feel like you are going to be mislead and lied to.

Must find food soon, oh, and I am tired of being cold. The walk home from the metro last night in a gown was no fun at all! At least I took the advice of inaugural experienced friends and wore comfy shoes. But still I was freezing. But I would not have traded yesterday for anything. It was an amazing day. And today is the beginning of a new way of looking at ourselves, our president, and our future.
