So... Hitchens is walking around drunk in Beirut Lebanon, hanging around right wing jackass Michael Totten (best known for his demobloguery) and some other right wing hack and the bleary eyed Hitchens makes out a poster for the thug based Syrian Social Nationalist Party and decided to write "Fuck The SSNP" on the poster.

Unfortunately for our zerohero some members of the SSNP happened to be in that neigborhood shoe-shopping, (you can't make this stuff up.) The fellows take umbridge with Hitch's redesign and proceed to kick their asses.

Apparently he is battered, bruised and walking with a limp.

Between this story and the one about Cheney really pissed at Bush for not pardoning Libby, this is turning into a pretty good week.

Drinking Liberally tonight in Tokyo, wherein I intend to raise a glass to the members of the SSNP. And here I was all down on the Nazi's for the Malkin Swastika thing...
